Cowboys and Elliott Agree to Contract Terms
After spending the 2023 season with the New York Giants, running back Ezekiel Elliott is returning to the Dallas Cowboys. The two sides have agreed to terms on a contract, bringing Elliott back to the team where he spent the first eight seasons of his career.
Elliott was the Cowboys' leading rusher from 2016 to 2022, earning three Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro nods during that time. He led the NFL in rushing in 2016 and 2018.
With Elliott back in the fold, the Cowboys are expected to have one of the most potent offenses in the league. Quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and tight end Dalton Schultz will all benefit from having Elliott in the backfield.
