WEB Campbell was appointed head coach of the Detroit Lions on January 20, 2021.

In his introductory press conference the following day, Campbell said, "This team has a lot of fight in it."

Campbell also discussed his vision for the team, saying, "We're going to be a tough, physical team that plays with a lot of heart."
